The Fuchsia Fairy Self Striping Yarn
*ready to ship now sold out but restock/preorder is being prepped *
Fuchsia Fairy is dressed in a beautiful bell shaped fuchsia dress with a deep plum coloured skirt and flutters her dusky fairy wings.
Fuchsia is a dancer
Dancing on her toes,
Clad in red and purple,
By a cottage wall;
Sometimes in a greenhouse,
In frilly white and rose,
Dressed in her best for the fairies’ evening ball!
The Fuchsia Fairy inspired self striping yarn is a 100g skein of yarn that will change colour as you knit! The sock set comprises of a 100g skein of stripes along with a coordinating 20g solid colour mini skein. . This yarn is already dyed and is ready to ship (unless sold out: Preorder yarn will be approximately 1-2 weeks from ordering), choose from the following options that feature this colourway:
- Merino Sock: 1 x 100g fingering skein 75% SW Merino with 25% nylon 425m. With a 20g/80m mini skein (also merino sock).
or
- BFL sock: 75/25 SW Blue Faced Leicester with nylon 425m. Comes complete with a 20g mini skein (also BFL sock).

I recommend the use of a skein winder, unwinding your skein without the proper amount of tension can result in tangles. I have a separate listing with winding service options available if you prefer to receive a cake or ball.
Wash by hand in cool to cold water with a wool friendly soap, occasionally dye can leach from highly saturated hand dyed yarns under certain conditions, I would recommend avoiding knitting those alongside undyed/white yarn or maybe choose a less saturated hand dyed yarn instead.
If you purchase a ready to ship skein with a pre-order skein all items will be sent together on the date set for the pre-order to be shipped.
If the option you wanted is showing out of stock we’ll have a restock in the future. If you’d like to be updated with when they will be available sign up to our newsletter at the bottom of our home page.
The Blue-faced Leicester yarns are British. The fibres are then scoured and Superwash Treated in the UK to the highest environmental standards possible.
Our Merino yarns do not come from farms practicing mulesing. Hand washing recommended.
