Brambles Self Striping Yarn 100g
Brambles is a range of earthy late summer/early autumn tones, the berry picking season.
The colours repeat every 18 stripes. The sock and mitten in the photo are knitted using the BFL/Nylon base.
The colours will stripe as you knit!
Choose from one of four yarn bases; Polwarth is a new addition in this batch it comes from a flock on the Falklands and the breed is 3/4 Merino and 1/4 Lincoln bloodlines, spun in the U.K. it does knit marginally bulkier than the regulars would make a nice autumn/winter sock or boot sock. The bamboo BFL blend is not as saturated in colour as the wool/Nylon blends as bamboo is a plant fibre (not compatible with wool dyes) so you get a softer version of the colours.
- SW Blue Faced Leicester with 25% nylon
- SW BFL with 20% Bamboo (100% biodegradable)
- SW Merino with 25% nylon
- Non-SW Polwarth with 25% Nylon
Ready to ship: You will receive a 100g skein of yarn that measures 400m approx. I recommend the use of a skein winder, unwinding your skein without the proper amount of tension can result in tangles. I have a separate listing with winding service options available if you prefer to receive a cake or ball.
If you purchase a ready to ship skein with a pre-order skein all items will be sent together on the date set for the pre-order to be shipped.
The Blue-faced Leicester yarns are British. The fibres are then scoured and Superwash Treated in the UK to the highest environmental standards possible.
Our Merino yarns do not come from farms practicing mulesing. Our Merino is mulesing free.
I use a professional wool dye system to prevent colours from running or fading. Please use a wool specific soap and shape to dry.
Due to monitor differences actual colours may vary slightly from how they appear online. P&P is tracked from the U.K.
